[Ette] SD MSN-00100 Hyaku SHiki

The MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki mobile suit was built by Anaheim Electronics based on the prototype transformable unit, MSN-001 Delta Gundam. Its name - Hyaku Shiki which means 'Type 100' in Japanese, came from its lead developer, Professor M.Nagano who hoped for a mobile suit design that would last for a hundred years.

In real life, Hyaku Shiki would be a tactical disaster due to its glistening gold plated armor which can be seen miles away. But the gold color is due to the application of a beam-resistant coating on its armor - which somewhat protects it against beam attacks. Or the designer just wants to have a shining gold Gundam.
