Today we're going to another different timeline in the Gundam universe - the Future Century, where instead of holding Olympic games every four years, the nations are holding Gundam Fight to determine who will rule over all the colonies for the next four years. I don't think that's how democracy works but anyhow this show is called Mobile Fighter G Gundam or Mobile Fighting Legend G Gundam as they called it in Japan. A show so bizarre for a Gundam franchise it's like an offspring of Mobile Suit Gundam and Dragon Ball Z. 

The Mobile Suit is GF13-017NJII God Gundam or known as Burning Gundam outside of Japan, probably due to the sensitivity of using the G-word for a Gundam. It was piloted by Domon Kasshu, the series protagonist, representing his country Neo Japan. God Gundam is actually the second Mobile Suit (they called it Mobile Fighter in this series) used by Neo Japan, with the first being the Shining Gundam.
