[MIW] SD MS-06 Zaku II

We have covered the Feds Grunt Suits or the Side Boys how I like to call them, and now let's talk about the Zeon's Grunt Units, aka the Bad Boys. After the success of the MS-05 Zaku I, the first combat-use mass-production mobile suit, Zeon replaced the aging suit with a faster, more powerful unit - the MS-06 Zaku II. It performed as the backbone of the Zeon forces during One Year War even after the introduction of the newer and more advanced units such as the MS-09B Dom and MS-09R Rick Dom. As the RX-78-2 essentially becomes the cover-boy of the Gundam franchise, the Zaku-II is not left far behind as the iconic mobile suit of the UC.

This SD version of Zaku II papercraft was designed by MIW with only 11 pages of the template. I like how MIW design the SD models, instead of the usual SD version with bigger heads and longer arms that are sometimes disproportionate from the body or torso part, his SD models are just - mini. It is just a smaller, simpler version of the 1/100 scale version. I mean, it's not just a smaller scale version, there's an SD vibe in it, albeit very subtle. And it looks so cool.
