There's no better way to start this papercraft Gundam blog than with the granddaddy of Gundam itself - the RX-78-2 Gundam. Introduced 40 years ago in 1979, RX-78-2 is still the most iconic mobile suit in Gundam universe and in the mecha genre as a whole. 

This is an SD version of RX-78-2 designed by Ette. There is a total of 17 pages of paper for the template. The instruction only comes in PDO so if you don't have Pepakura Viewer yet you can refer to this link to get it.
