[ku0929] SD Optimus Prime
Today let's take a break from Gundam universe and look into another famous toyline/robot franchise - The Transformers. This model is designed by a Korean modeler of which I cannot identify the name because it is in Korean. So I put his name as ku0929 according to his blog name.
This model, which is an SD version of Optimus Prime, is the Generation 1 (G1) of the Transformers toy line. A bit of history here, in 1983 Hasbro brought the rights to produce the transforming robot toy lines from Japan's company Takara - Diaclone and Microman. Hasbro rebranded it as Transformers and sold the toys in North America. Hasbro then collaborated with Marvel Comics to create the backstory of the franchise which was later developed as an animated TV series back in 1984.
The template came with a stand with the Autobot logo which is cool. And the instructions come in PDO. You can proceed to download the template below.
