[Nadask] Voltron
Similar to Robotech, Voltron is a product of a broadcast syndication in the 80s from two unrelated Toei Animation series - the Beast King GoLion & the Armored Fleet Dairugger XV. Voltron was split into two series - the first half being the Lion Force Voltron (GoLion) and the second part is the Vehicle Team Voltron (Dairugger). The spliced up series will be known as Voltron: Defender of the Universe. The Lion Force Voltron was premiered in 1984, followed by Vehicle team Voltron in 1985. World Event Productions (aka WEP), the company that is responsible producing Voltron, works with Toei Animation studio to produce the 3rd series/movie - Voltron: Fleet of Doom in 1986. This 48-minutes long movie will be the only time ever the two Voltrons are seen working together to defeat a common enemy. And of course, since GoLion and Dairugger is totally unrelated in Japan, this movie was never aired there.
With the success of these series a few spin-off series are further produced: There is Voltron: The Third Dimension aired in 1999-2000 with different style of animation. As the title name "Third Dimension" suggested, it is 3D animated in the same style as the Beast Wars: Transformers and the Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles. Which means that the CGI especially the human's animation is reaally baaad. I guess that it's the trend in those days to do a series in 3D animation to welcome the new millennium. And then there's Voltron Force aired in Nicktoons in 2011-2012 and the rebooted version of Voltron: Legendary Defender that aired in Netflix in 2016-2018.
This papercraft of Voltron Lion Force is the work of Nadask with 63 pages of the template.
