[Gwi-jang] Zoid-Voltron Red Lion

 

The Beast King GoLion or the Lion Force Voltron, as what we outside of Japan know it off, tells the story of five young pilots that command the five robot lions that can combine to form Voltron. They are referred to as the Voltron Force and were designated to protect the planet Arus and Princess Allura from the evil King Zarkon. Unlike the Vehicle Force Voltron/Dairuger, the plot for the Lion Force Voltron does not deviate much from its original Japanese series. It's kinda funny that even though that Voltron was supposed to be the name of the series with two different super robot in it, we (the fans) have always refer to the Lion Force robot as the Voltron, and we call the Vehicle Force as the Vehicle Voltron. What is more amusing than that is the fact that both GoLion and Dairuger series was not a big success in their birth country - Japan. But Voltron continues to be loved by its worldwide fans until today. There is news that Universal is planning to do a live-action version of Voltron but don't hold out much hope as over the decades we have seen such plans that would only be scrapped later on.
