[Realnopposans] HWR-00-Mark II Monster

 

Apart from the prominent variable fighter Valkyrie, there's another mechanized unit deployed by the U.N Spacy during Space War I - the Destroids. Destroids are non-transformable bipedal mech units that are mainly used for support and defensive mission. They are heavily armored with superior firepower than the Valkyrie, designed solely for ground combat much like tanks. Its massive size and weight made it less maneuverable and this lack of mobility made it an easy target of enemy's bombardment. In the years following the war, the Valkyrie became the U.N Spacy mecha of choice, leaving the Destroids being relegated to heavy engineering works or as target practice at the shooting range.

There are a few variations of Destroids, here we have the Heavy Weight Robot HWR-00-Mark II Monster, first seen in the  Super Dimension Fortress Macross television series. The Monster is the largest mobile ground weapon ever, with over 41 meters long and weighing 300 tons.
