[MarianoDG] G1 Optimus Prime

 

The basic premise of The Transformers is the story of two warring factions of robots from the planet Cybertron that left the dying planet in search of resources. 

In the pilot episode, the Decepticons chase the Autobots in their cruiser and manage to lock onto their spaceship with the tractor beams. Left with no option, the Autobots engaged the Decepticons once they were onboard. While being intelligent, sentient robot beings, the Transformers happened to not have autopilot on both of their ships, which resulted in both vessels being sucked in by the Earth's gravity and crashing onto Earth.

The Transformers remained entombed and offline for 4 million years and were only awakened in 1984 due to volcanic activity. The Decepticons were awakened first, thanks to the repair beam. Seeing that their arc nemesis is now presumed dead, Megatron leads the Decepticons to establish a new base on Earth. The Decepticon's new mission will be to drain Earth of its resources to build the ultimate weapon to conquer the universe.

Before leaving, Starscream blasted a parting shot at the Autobot's ship, attempting to bury it under the rocks. He, however, was unaware that his action would accidentally awaken Optimus Prime.

And so the war of the two factions continues on Earth.
