[Dávid Pethes] X-Wing

We have another T-65B starfighter papercraft today because we can't get enough of the coolness and awesomeness of the X-Wing. The X-Wing featured today will be the one that served in the Rebel Alliance's Red Squadron.

The Red Squadron was a squadron of starfighters that serves under the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. A squadron typically consisted of twelve ships of a mix of starfighters - BTL-A4 Y-wing assault starfighter/bombers, RZ-1 A-wing interceptors, and V-4X-D ski speeders. The squadron's preferred starfighter, however, was the iconic T-65B X-wing starfighter. True to its name, the squadron's starfighters were painted with red stripes and markings.

Today's template is another X-Wing papercraft modeled by Dávid Pethes or known as Imcold from Papermodelers.com. This is one of the most detailed X-wing papercraft models, another one would be Uhu02 model which I've posted before. It comes in two versions: X-wing Red Two, piloted by Lieutenant Wedge Antilles, and X-wing Red Four, piloted by John D.Brannon during the Battle of Yavin. In this battle, Luke Skywalker in the X-wing Red Five successfully destroyed the Death Star and saved the Alliance forces on Yavin 4 from total destruction.

The papercraft model is on a 1/48 scale with a length of 27.5cm and a wingspan of 24cm. It only has 11 pages of template, but the sheer number of small parts (fully finished model have over 600 individual parts!!) might discourage some to even start the project. Lol.
