[Cream-bread] SD MBF-P02Kai Red Frame Kai
The original Astray manga series soon after multiplied into many sub-series, some running concurrently with the main story, others telling the perspective of certain main characters. All of these stories are intertwined and referenced each other regularly. These are some of the spawned Manga series titles:
1. The original MS Gundam SEED Astray tells the stories of Lowe Guele and the Junk Guild, how they found the two Astray Gundam units and their encounter with the Serpent Tail mercenary group. Later on, Lowe will fight the series antagonist, Rondo Gina Sahaku, an Orb nobleman that tries to conquer the world for himself.
2. MS Gundam SEED Astray R - a sister series to the original that runs concurrently, focusing more on Lowe's adventure with his friend. The series title "R" refers to the Red Frame.
3. MS Gundam SEED Astray B - focuses on Gai Murakumo, the leader of Serpent Tail. The series title "B" refers to the Blue Frame.
4. MS Gundam SEED X Astray - takes place roughly during a short time skip in episode 47 of MS Gundam SEED. Introducing new main characters - Prayer Reverie and Canard Pars [so we got new characters now, cool].
5. MS Gundam SEED Destiny Astray - introduce another new protagonist, Jess Rabble, a freelance photojournalist who later pilots the ZGMF-X12 Astray Out Frame Gundam [a journalist turns to what now?].
6. MS Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Δ ASTRAY - or simply called the Delta Astray that ties into the MS Gundam SEED C.E. 73: Stargazer OVA. Basically, it's a story of Martian colonists that were chased by the protagonist of Stargazer, before the events of Stargazer. [they really like to make these side stories huh]
7. MS Gundam SEED Frame Astrays - tells the story of the Guerrilla faction, which fights both the Earth Federation and ZAFT. Introduces yet another main character - Trojan Noiret who pilots the Green Frame.
8. MS Gundam SEED VS Astray - occurs concurrently with the SEED Destiny. A story where Lowe and his friends fight clones of dead characters from the earlier Astray comics - known as the Carbon Human (carbon copy, get it?) Not only did the antagonist faction copies the dead pilots, but they also copied the mobile suits as well, with only slight alterations. In this story, we have an antagonist called ND HE - No Data High Error. Probably comes from the writer's idea of his dead USB stick.
9. [Wait, this list is still going?] MS Gundam SEED Destiny Astray R - the Astray stories that follow the SEED Destiny arch from the perspective of Lowe Guele.
10. MS Gundam SEED Destiny Astray B - the Astray stories that follow the SEED Destiny arch from the perspective of Gai Murakumo.
This list is not exhaustive and I don't think it ever will be due to the popularity of the manga series. But to be honest I think the manga creators have gone 'astray' from the original SEED spirit with these so many Gaiden/side-stories.
The papercraft is the SD version of MBF-P02Kai Red Frame Kai modelled by Cream-bread. As usual, Cream-bread makes beautiful and detailed SD papercraft.
