[Josey] SD RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes

 

The Zephyranthes is a prototype mobile suit, supposedly an upgrade or replacement of the RX-78-2 Gundam. The physical appearance is strikingly similar to the original Gundam but more refined, with curved edges. Compared to the real successor of the Gundam, which is Gundam MKII, the Zephyranthes looks different with its rounded-edge armor design. 

Zephyranthes might not be getting the love it deserves from the fans due to its lackluster charm. It is not among the coolest-looking Gundam, and the performance is quite generic and not very impressive. But Zephyranthes is placed among the great mobile suits that feel "realistic."  It is a piece of military hardware with no fancy magical weapon.
