[Kite] RX-78GP03 Dendrobium

After the One-Year War, the Earth Federation realized that it was way behind in technology and mobile suit development compared to the Principality of Zeon. The Feds finally acknowledged that the mobile suit is the future of the space age and an important tool for future strategies. This led to the Federation Forces Reconstruction Plan, which authorised Anaheim Electronics to secretly begin the Gundam Development Project on October 20, U.C. 0081.

After the war, Anaheim Electronics absorbed Zeon's primary mobile suit manufacturers, including Zeonic. This made them the largest mobile suit development and production capabilities in the Earth sphere. The units developed in the Gundam Project include:

RX-78GP00 Gundam GP00 "Blossom"

RX-78GP01 Gundam "Zephyranthes"

RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis"

RX-78GP03 Gundam "Dendrobium"

RX-78GP03S Gundam "Stamen"

RX-78GP04G Gundam "Gerbera"

And in case you haven't noticed this before, all of the Gundam names in Stardust Memory are names of flowers.

The papercraft is the RX-78GP03 Gundam "Dendrobium", the third unit of the Gundam Development Project. However, the correct term for it should be the Armed Base "Orchis" since it is without the Gundam "Stamen". It was modelled by Kite with a 70-page non-colored template and PDO files for building references. Click below to download the template.
