[noein] SD RX-78GP03 Dendrobium
With all the cool-looking mobile suits and powerful Gundams developed under the Gundam Development Project, why don't we see any continuation of the project? Or why we don't have more mobile suits developed from the prototypes? Well, it's because of the turn of events in Stardust Memory. It all started with the Federation's intention to strengthen the gap in mobile suit technology to prepare for future conflicts. Thus the Gundam Development Project. But the plan backfires when the Delaz Fleet - stole the Physalis (Operation Stardust Phase 1), destroys most of the Federation Fleet in the Naval Review attack (Operation Stardust Phase 2), and drops off the space colony onto North America (Operation Stardust final phase) which devastated the Federation's food supply.
Probably embarrassed by their own arrogance and mistakes that led to these events, the Federation covers up the incident by erasing all information on the Gundam Development Project. The reason is to prevent such things from happening again. The decision to seal away the technology developed in the project, however, hindered innovations and lead to serious stagnation in mobile suit development.
The papercraft is the SD version of the GP03 Dendrobium modelled by Noein, which you can download below.
